Rare signed 'Paperweight' vase, made by glass artist Bruce Pizzichillo in 1981. This vase demonstrates the cased paperweight technique to depict a whimsical Southwest scene with cacti motifs and green and pink hues. Etched "Bruce Pizzichillo 81 # 043" on bottom edge. Excellent condition with some scuffing/scratches to inner lid and base - See photos for condition details.

Since 1980 the talented glass-blowing team of Bruce Pizzichillo and Dari Gordon have been redefining the look of contemporary blown glass.Ā  Inspired by natures dazzling genius, they boldly use rich, romantic colors in both opaque and transparent glass. As a team they developed new glass-blowing techniques by combining traditional Venetian with modern methods.
